The India-Russia Collaboration for BRICS+ Emerging Economies event aims to foster collaboration between India and Russia’s academic and financial institutions. It will bring together distinguished Vice Chancellors, Russian finance experts, and leaders from top Indian universities to discuss cooperation in the fields of education, finance, and human resource development for the emerging BRICS+ economies.

The program aligns with recent steps taken to strengthen economic ties between India and Russia, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attendance at the XVI BRICS Summit 2024 at Kazan in Russian Federation. The summit explored potential collaborations in education and economic development, further reinforced by a recent meeting between Russia's Deputy Prime Minister and India’s Foreign Minister, Dr. S. Jaishankar, in Mumbai. This collaboration is in line with the BRICS International Forum’s vision for promoting economic solidarity and international influence, with a focus on developing skilled young talent to benefit BRICS+ economies.
